When we buy a Gadget, it will be great if it gives us some returns. I personally feel, the purpose of the gadget is fulfilled because of that. Either a computer or a Smartphone that we buy from 10,000 Rupees to 1 lac Rupees. It will be very useful if it gives us back some returns. I hope every gadget buyer have such consciousness while buying them.
When we buy a phone or computer and we use it mostly for Games and Entertainment purposes, then it's clear we wasted valuable time and money. the gadget didn't fulfill its purpose too. it's just my personal thought. So how to fix that?
And how to make money with the gadgets we buy? Not all of them, but just some of the gadgets we buy can be put to good use. We can learn new things from our computers and smartphones. Let's take the smartphone, the majority of users buy it and let it waste our time mostly. Productivity is very less on mobile phones. Some people I know are good at taking photos using their mobile phones.
They simply share it on their Facebook Newsfeed, Instagram, and Social media sites. They don't take any extra efforts to make money online using mobile photography skills. I hope this post gives a better idea about making money online.
Let's dive into the process of making money online with your mobile photography skills. When you take Apple Products, there are things I like and things I don't like. Apart from the design perfection, Apple also good at the Hardware components they put inside their devices. I like that about Apple.
I am using iPhone since 3G. and I like the designs that came out after the iPhone 4. Because that's when the Display Improvements have started to happen. Retina Display is addictive. Love its colors and vibrance. Reading Texts also comfort to the eyes as they were sharp.
The reason I am telling about its Display is, Apple makes the Camera and Display work together. This is not the same case in all the Phones and Manufacturers. What you see on the iPhone camera is what you see on the display. That's not the same case with other Mobile Manufacturers. Color Calibration is done correctly with iPhone Displays.
The picture you shot on the iPhone looks the same in your iPhone, iPad, and Mac Display. Even if you upload photos to Facebook, even after compression the photo looks much better and clear. Shot on iPhone photos always stand out and few elements in the picture prove that.
While taking photos using the iPhone camera, The image is being processed with its Image Signal Processor. Latest iPhone's do have Neural Engine to process that image using AI and improve its quality. Using hardware to process the output image is really good. But when you upload them to Facebook, Instagram, and other sites, it gets compressed.

To prevent that quality loss, consider checking about RAW Format and how to shoot photos in RAW format. Taking RAW Photos is not possible with iPhone's default camera app. Camera app processes the image and makes it look good to the normal eyes.
That is why we have to use third-party apps like Adobe Lightroom, Halide Camera App, Camera Plus App can be used to Shoot RAW Format images. There are several other apps that allow you to take Raw Photos on iPhone. Once you shot a Raw photo, you will be able to edit and tune-up each element in a Photograph.
Exposure, Contrast, Brightness, and everything is now adjustable in the editing apps. Once you finished editing such RAW image files, it will look a lot different from instant Filters you apply on the images. In our Facebook Group, you may see such beautiful photos shot using iPhone 4,4S, 6, and SE Camera.
As you can see, the output is gorgeous. When you shoot a picture using an iPhone camera, you can edit them very well using Google Snapseed App. It's a very powerful app when you learn, how to use it. There are tons of tools, filters, and controls available in the Snapseed app.
Let's explore the market places where you can sell your Photos Online.
First Website
500px.com (App available in AppStore) Friend of mine, who bought my iPhone 4S, shot a beautiful photo using his iPhone and sold it in 500px. That was his first sale online. His casual photoshoots turned into money. He uploads the photo just like that on 500px.com without any intension to sell it online.
Luckily, a buyer approached him through the comments section and asked the price for purchasing his Photo. He never took any photography courses or a full understanding of mobile photography. He was really excited to make his first sale. The person who purchased the photo now will be able to use the photo without any copyright issues or violations.
There are many photographers who sell their photos online. People create their profile and portfolio in these Websites and Apps that allow us to sell Photos online. Give first preference to 500px. It's really good according to me.
Second Website:
smugmug.com You can fix the price of the photograph you want to sell on this website. Upload your Creative photos and Stills to this website and price it reasonably for quick selling. Depending on your hard work in capturing and processing the image, You can decide the price of the photo.
You know its worth. Just a tip: Lesser price, more sales when it comes to these market places. You can browse through existing photographs posted by skilled professionals. Just to get an idea about pricing, you can browse through the Smugmug website. You will see the experience of the photographer in each photo, not just their pricing.
The Third One is a Web Application.
EyeEM - it is available in Appstore. It is similar to 500px and gives a good idea about the Marketplace. You can upload the photos you shot on your mobile phone. Processing the photos can be done with the help of apps and tools I have suggested in the first half of this post.
Finish the Pre and Post Production of the photos within your Phone and then upload it to EyeEM Account. When the photo is sold, you will receive the money in your Paypal account. This app is not as popular as EyeEM. But its really a good marketplace to consider. In the future, when the app grows, you will grow too.
Forth Website is Flickr.com
Flickr.com They gave 1TB Free cloud storage, and after smugmug.com acquisition, Flickr reduced their Free Storage limit to 1000 Photos. It became Paid Storage but the 1000 Photos limit is very good for Photographers who want to sell their photographs online.
It is important to consider your portfolio building and presence in Flickr.com too. When you cross 200 to 300 photo uploads, you will start making sales or learn more about the selling of photos online. When the sales begin, and you reach the 1000 photos limit, then you can upgrade your Free Plan to Paid Tariff. Start posting your photos online and make money.
Convert your Time and Hobby into Money. It's definitely not going to waste time. Your effort will pay you in the form of money or learning and experience. If you know any other Websites, Apps, or Marketplaces that are good to suggest, based on your experience and you like to help others.
