So you have to provide recruiters with detailed information about your skills and experience write a catchy headline and summary then you need to add a professional photo because profiles with a professional photo get 15 times more views then you need to list your skills and experience education that demonstrates that recruiters should hire you. 

if you don't put all that information your profile will not be visible to the potential recruiters and companies and if you have a professional website or portfolio you should add the link to the profile as well.

 if you have relevant experience and you are looking for an engineer, for example, write engineer in the headline because when the recruiter is looking for example for a marketing manager they write in the system marketing manager and some other keywords which are important for them and then all profiles that have those keywords will show up and it makes easier for the recruiters to find the right people.
